One of the greatest artists of all time, the legacy of Leonardo daVinci (1452-1519) includes some of the most well-known paintings ever made. But daVinci’s talent exceeded far beyond painting - he was also a successful architect and engineer, and his drawings of military weapons have been highly regarded and studied for nearly 500 years. These drawings capture exceptionally engineered weapons unlike anything that had been developed at the time they were created, yet there is no record that these designs were ever constructed … until now. Discovery Channel’s six-part world premiere original series, DOING DAVINCI, puts a team of 21st century builders, engineers and historians together to take on one of history’s greatest minds as they attempt to build daVinci’s weapons once and for all. The series premieres Mondays at 10PM ET/PT beginning April 13.

In “Meteor,” two massive rocks, tumbling debris older than the solar system itself, collide in space. The course has been altered. The target is Earth. In a remote observatory, Dr. Lehman (Emmy winner Christopher Lloyd, “Back to the Future”), discovers a meteor approximately three times the size of Mount Everest barreling its way towards Earth. His devoted young assistant Imogene O’Neill (Marla Sokoloff, “The Practice”) feverishly types in the coordinates only to find the previously identified meteor named Kassandra is headed their way. It’s only the beginning of their troubles as showers of smaller meteorites begin to lay waste to major cities around the globe. The impending disaster brings out the best and the worst sides in people as they cope by either lending a helping hand or taking advantage of the situation.

Hollywood Celebrities

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

It’s now a prevalent mania of television and movie fans to get gossip closer with their hottest and darling Hollywood celebrities, and this arduous psychosis come obvious when we see films and images of these celebrities, posted all over the Internet. Photographers and profile makers are loaded with millions of pictures and photos of the hottest and pretty celebs and cool Hollywood hunks. Need to add the fact here that these photographers and tabloid writers scout them not only for their pics but gossips, they depart with every moment.

Certainly it may be the exceptional mishmash of charming and alluring girl-next-door actress Jennifer Aniston or the outing and shaking get together of eccentrically gorgeous, black-haired Sandra Bullock, fans and public are always on their toes in getting the latest of their favorite Hollywood babes’. In addition, this ongoing list includes many well-known, striking and dazzling ladies from Hollywood who fabulously fill the Red Carpet with their glittering presence.

The list assorts Angelina Jolie on top itself with her ragged charms and her total fusion into arty roles; Jennifer Lopez who is being known to be possessed by her own beauty; Jessica Alba ,closed out the century as one of Hollywood’s more gifted original talents; Kate winslet who stolen the hearts of everyone with Earth shattering performances in everlasting Titanic and not least Sharon Stone, a hush- hush famed celebrity whose thriving performances in Basic Instinct I & II hurled her to a superstar class.

Anything may be the cause for this frenzy; this is a certain fact that celebrity tittle-tattle and scandals thrill the blocks. This is why many tabloids and paparazzi relentlessly watch and observe celebrity’s insides.

Hulu going Mobile?

Monday, December 15th, 2008

Could online video site Hulu be appearing on mobile phones any time soon? B&C reports that Hulu CEO Jason Kilar delivering a National Association of Broadcasters keynote on Wedneday evening suggested that the NBCU and News Corp.-backed site could be developed for other platforms, including mobile phones. Kilar did not give any specific details, but said that Hulu needn’t be identical on every platform and “…anything connected to the Internet would be a good fit for Hulu.”

This isn’t the first time Hulu’s hinted about a possible mobile move. At CTIA, NBCU chief digital officer George Kliavkoff said in keynote he didn’t “know why we couldn’t do something similar [to Hulu] for mobile.” When he was pressed further about a Hulu Mobile, he said, “The concept of putting multiple partners together to create a good destination on mobile devices is something we are interested in, but who knows if that would be under the Hulu brand or not – that’s total speculation.” Plus, NBCU has spare spectrum–about 25-30 percent of it not being used, while with Telemundo, 65 percent is idle. Kliavkoff said the spectrum is “available to us to do whatever,” including a wireless service.
