ER Versus Grey’s Anatomy - Which One’s Better?
I’m a long time fan of ER - I have been watching it since the very first episode in 1994. ER is an Emmy Award-winning American medical drama series created by the late novelist Michael Crichton and airing on NBC. It is set primarily in the emergency room of fictional County General Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. It is produced by Constant c Productions and Amblin Entertainment in association with Warner Bros. Television Production, Inc. It is probably one of the most thought provoking, action packed, funniest shows I have ever and will ever watch. So, ya I am a big ER fan. But I have also watched Grey’s Anatomy as well. Grey’s Anatomy is an American prime time medical drama. It debuted on ABC as a mid-season replacement for Boston Legal on March 27th, 2005, immediately following Desperate Housewives. The title of the show is inspired by the classic medical textbook Gray’s Anatomy.
The series revolves around Dr. Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo, who began the show as a surgical intern at Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Both sound like awesome shows right? Well they are! As for which is better? I think that depends on you. Personally, I like ER better. But I am biased because as aforementioned I “grew up” watching ER. I went through the deaths, the leaves, and the sicknesses. Funny how much a show can mean to you, isn’t it? Maybe to some people they can disconnect themselves. But for me? Dr. Green made me cry (especially the flashbacks). It sucked when Abby decided to leave. And you always felt really bummed when you missed an eppie on accident! As for Grey’s Anatomy, you know we all love McDreamy and McSteamy, and watching all of them co-habit the hospital can just be plain hilarious. For me, watching Grey’s is like being back in high school. If that makes sense, then you know exactly where I’m coming from. And if not, then you must have skipped school a lot!
Personally, for anyone out there, I would say don’t get involved with ER. Because after many years it is finally ending! Although you could always go ahead and rent the old DVDs on Netflix or something! However, Grey’s is probably going to be around for a while! So if this is something that you like - action/comedy/drama all wrapped up into one in a hospital type show - I say Grey all the way! One really cool thing you can do to find out more about Grey’s Anatomy is to visit a few TV blogs available online. These are completely free and you can get to know all your Grey friends, who they are, where you have seen them before, show previews, etc. I highly recommend these types of sites! They can become incredibly addicting just like that of your prime time TV show addictions!
CSI: ABC
Crime Scene Investigation, commonly known as CSI, created a new dimension in crime thrillers series and crafted new milestones in uniquely blended forensic science dependent investigation series in television history.

Exceptionally, CSI was Emmy-nominated number one scripted series on television and a saga about a squad of witty forensic investigators, skilled to unravel crimes by groping the evidences in well equipped forensic laboratories. CSI has invented a brand new era of criminal investigations since storyline starts to take the leap with every forensic breakthrough. CSI, in its episodes take use of advanced gadgets, ultra modern technologies and super forensic equipments that interestingly push it sometimes in genre of science fiction series.
If putting a light on CSI plot, it revolves around Crime Scene Investigation division of the Las Vegas Police Department at Las Vegas Crime Lab and eventually it is the second most equipped lab in the United States after the government backed FBI lab. Ironically, the weird conclusions of these cases taken up by CSI team repeatedly compel some moral questions about beliefs and human nature in general.
Surely, all the credit goes to capable cast of this widely accepted and highly controversial investigating series. The cast includes William Petersen who played the character of Gil Grissom, has a distinguished background in film, theater, and television. Jorja Fox who pursued the character of Sara Sidle had numerous guest appearances on television shows such as ER, The West Wing and Missing Persons.
In further leads Gary Dourdan who portrayed Warrick Brown, earlier done modeling for numerous magazines along with Louise Lombard as Detective Sofia Curtis, Wallace Langham as David Hodges and Robert David Hall as Dr. Al Robbins.
